Sliding Entrance Reducer

Description

This entrance reducer has several uses.  First, it slides in place for 8 frame or 10 frame boxes.  You can alternate the parts to add extra venting or even add in the additional small slide to reduce the entrance even more.  The entrance holes are 3/8″ in size so they allow bees inside but not other larger pests like mice.  Lastly, the entire entrance reducer can be flipped and set to full vent for moving hives.  We have friends we made some of these for and they use them almost exclusively for moving hives.  When not in use, they slide down to 8 inches for each storage.  We include the extra 4 inch part for each order!

These sliding entrance reducers have mounting holes so you can use thumb tacks to hold them in place.  Some people have issues getting thumb tacks to stab into their boxes so there is no reason you cannot use screws to hold them in place.

These parts are 3d printed using PETG so you do not have to worry about the bees chewing this entrance reducer.  At present we only have white in stock but we are going to add a few basic bright colors.
