Online Store is Up

In case you didnt’ notice, our online store is up and running. Mainly we are mainly selling 3d printed bee parts until we can get the shipping figured out for heavier wood products.  The queen cell cage is a pretty cool little tool to save those virgin queens from killing each other.  Along with the queen isolation cage (also called introduction cage)  and the small robber screen, they have been selling fairly well and want to thank you all.

We added the sugar water mix sign that we made for the bee school.  While sugar water mixing is not difficult, sometimes you get a bit confused so this sign is something you can hang up in the garage to remind you of the mixtures.

We also added a Layens model that we designed last year for the bee schools to demonstrate what they look like in relation to the Langstroth models.  This is our design from the ground up.  I have a 14 frame model that I think looks better and will add that shortly.

The plastic entrance discs are an idea I have been throwing around a while now.  I know the edges of the metal entrance discs are sharp and while it might allow workers to pass through the queen excluder, I would bet they are taking damage.  Our plastic entrance discs are rounded for a smoother entrance through the queen excluder and they are thicker.  We are testing some designs on them which will be released soon.  Also have a few other ideas that might make them unique.

That is really the point of the 3d printed parts is to create things that we feel might be missing or can be improved or simply made easier and cheap.
