I have become a big fan of the metal roof. So much so that I am planning to make these the norm for all cedar hives from this point forward. They are much stronger and thicker than the aluminum flashing so they will hold up longer. We still put tar paper underneath the roofing so it is protected from sweating. And we can give the customers a choice of roof color! This customer opted for the galvalum to match his house. Looking forward to seeing it after he paints the hive.
