Long Langstroth (long lang)
Long Langs are beehives that are horizontal rather than vertical and mimic a fallen log that the bees build in. One of the biggest advantages is they require no heavy lifting of honey supers since the frames are worked one at a time. Our long langs use standard "deep" frames and vary in different styles, woods, and sizes.
Standard Langstroth
These are the most popular beehives in the US. We make standard and custom langstroth boxes, lids, and other components in different sizes from nucs up to 10 frame. We also offer boxes in cedar, pine, and other materials.
Layens Hives
Layens frame hives are not as common in the US and have a taller frame than a standard "deep" frame. Generally these hives are used in cold environments but the insulation works both ways and are excellent in Texas summers as well. We make these hives at any length but 14 and 20 frames are the most common.
